x 216. A cash or credit card donation
form is available here. CPL is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and
contributions are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.
Each service dog that is trained and placed by Canine Partners For Life is
valued at over over $22,000, yet we ask a very nominal donation for our
dogs from our recipients. This donation helps defray the costs associated
with the raising, training, placing and providing lifetime support of each
dog. The cost of the equipment provided with each dog is almost $1,200.00.
If a recipient cannot afford to make the donation for their dog, we will not
turn them away.
 CPL must raise their entire operating budget every year and it
all depends on the generosity of our donors, support of our special events,
and some small foundation grants. CPL has a few fundraising events each
year, ranging from a Canine Carnival, a Wine
Auction, Cow Bingo, and our nationwide
PAWSAmerica pledge-sponsored walk. Please visit our special

There are many options available to help you contribute to CPL. We hope
you will give generously. Listed below are the many ways you can donate
to our mission.
 Workplace Giving and Matching Gifts
Many corporations have workplace giving programs to help develop philanthropy
by their employees. We salute those companies and the generosity
of their employees. If you work for a large corporation, check with your
human resources department to find out about its matching-gift policy. Many
employers will provide a form for you to send to us with your donation. We
verify the gift and return the form to your company that will then issue
us a matching gift contribution. If you are unsure if your company offers

America's Charities
CPL is a member charity of America's Charities. Thanks to this alliance, CPL
is in workplace giving campaigns in the private sector, the workplace campaigns
by the Federal Government Employees and some state campaigns. Look for
us in your workplace charity catalog - we welcome your support!
Combined Federal Campaign (CFC)
Federal employees can support CPL with donations made through the CFC.
The Canine Partners For Life CFC number is 10357. In addition, CPL volunteers
are available to come speak to your Loaned Labor Leaders, participate
in your campaign kickoffs, and your employee sessions. Contact
our development office to schedule one of our volunteers- we want
to meet you!
SECA
We participate in the Pennsylvania State Employees
Combined Appeal under the America's Charities umbrella. Look for us
in your State brochure for our number as it will be different for all
areas. Be on the look out for us in other state appeals in the near future.
United Way
CPL supporters that work in the private sector can donate through their donor-designated
contributions in workplace giving drives such as the United
Way. Please list Canine Partners For Life, P.O. Box 170, Cochranville,
PA 19330 as your Charity of Choice on your United Way pledge forms. We
thank you for your support and making CPL your donor choice charity.

Gifts in Memory or Honor of a Special Loved One
CPL receives many generous gifts in memory or honor of a friend or family
member who loves dogs, or an animal "family member" who is no longer
with us. The notes and letters that accompany these donations validate
the work that we do. These donations are in memory to those that have
crossed over, yet remain alive in the hearts and memories of those that
loved them. If you are giving a donation in memory of a loved one or
a "fur-being",
please let us know who the acknowledgement of your donation
should be sent to so that they will know that your donation will help
others in a special way.
Tribute or Honorarium gifts are the perfect choice for the person
who has everything, and to honor special occasions and
friends. Weddings, birthdays, holidays, anniversaries, promotions and
other monumental occasions are a perfect fit for a tribute donation.
We will provide the recipient with a certificate heralding your donation
in their honor with any personal note you wish to include.

Chester County Community Foundation
The Chester County Communication Foundation (CCCF) is a collection of separate
funds and resources dedicated to maintaining and
enhancing the quality of life in Chester County, PA. CPL has created
a fund designed to develop a permanent endowment, a critical step in
ensuring our long-term success. Thanks to the generosity of one of our
donors, we have been able to create this endowment fund.
Your contribution
to the Canine Partners For Life Fund within the CCCF will be invested
for maximum return with minimum risk to provide a lasting income for
CPL. The Fund is an attractive vehicle to handle all types of planned
giving options. To donate via this fund, you can visit the Chester

Delaware Community Foundation
The Delaware Community Foundation is a collection of separate funds and resources
given by caring individuals who have chosen to
make their community a better place in which to live and work, now
and in the future. Many of our recipients and donors are residents of
Delaware. With the generosity of one of our Delaware donors, we created
this endowment fund.
Your donation to the Canine Partners For Life Fund
within the Delaware Community Foundation is pooled and invested together
to provide a lasting income for CPL. To donate via this fund, you can

In-Kind donations
We love in-kind donations! Thanks to material donations such as these,
we are able to save much needed operating money for
our mission instead of buying items we cannot get by without. In kind
donations are lifesavers to our vet staff, our kennel dogs and our
office staff. If you would like to donate merchandise or items other
than cash to us, let us know so we can arrange delivery or let you
know what is needed immediately. Check out our
wish list for ideas.
Items on our wish list are great for schools and
community groups to collect as an easy project with a huge impact
on our organization.

What better way to leave a permanent message than a custom engraved brick
to say what
you want to?
The bricks are installed on our campus at
the front walkway of our office building. Everyone who visits our
campus will see your testament to the support of CPL. If you would
like to purchase a brick or a suite of bricks, please fill
out the brick form and send it in. Come visit your brick when you tour our
campus!

Pennies for Puppies Automatic Monthly Donation Plan
CPL can now accept donations via automatic deduction from your bank account or
on your credit card. When you sign up for
our Pennies For Puppies, you are enabling CPL to receive much needed
unrestricted dollars on a monthly basis so that
we do not have to cut program expenditures when giving is down. More
and more people are paying bills, making purchases
and donating to charity electronically. CPL has now made this option
available to save donors money, paper, and time.
Simply download the Pennies
for Puppies Monthly Donor Program Agreement.
You can choose the dollar amount
that fits your budget and the frequency (monthly, quarterly or semi-annually)
that donations are to be made. This
authorization will remain in effect until
you notify CPL or your bank of any changes in writing.
Naming Opportunities
CPL strives to make options available for individuals, corporations and service
groups the opportunity to name a dog
in our program for either recognition or to immortalize an important
member. When large donations are made to CPL, the development
department often asks major donors to name a puppy coming into our program,
as a way to honor their financial commitment
to CPL.
These naming opportunities are limited and there is no guarantee
that the dog named will graduate from the program.

Partners -
A Very Special Group of Donors
 Many of our benefactors over the years have notified us that they have included CPL in their overall estate plan, either through a bequest or a charitable gift instrument. We are incredibly appreciative of this generosity and regard it as an exemplary way to honor the mission of the organization!
Solla's Partners is a new society we've created to recognize all of the generous donors that are remembering Canine Partners through a planned gift. Soon, you will receive informative materials about this program by mail and the various opportunities available to you. Our new planned giving section of our website will provide the answers to many of your questions.
It has long been the desire of the CPL Board to create a permanent endowment
fund to ensure that we will always have the resources to train
partner dogs for those that desperately need them. In its 20
year history, CPL has had to raise every dollar that it expends
annually, putting tremendous pressure on the budget and limiting the services
that can be provided. This new endowment fund will, over time, provide
a permanent source of funding.

Capital Campaign
We will begin a new Capital Campaign in 2009. With the expansion of our program
and the desirability of our service dogs, CPL will
begin to embark on the building of a new state of the art training facility.
We have sadly outgrown the current training
center on campus. With the increased number
of dogs that go through our program to provide
for our successor dogs, in addition to the
new applicants, a larger training facility
is needed.
