We moved our
entire operation to its current 45-acre campus
in 1999. The facility consists of a 5,000 square
foot, state-of-the-art kennel facility which was constructed in 1999
at a cost of over $1,000,000,
The kennel provides housing for 28
dogs at a time with radiant floor heat, dog beds,
durable play toys, air conditioning, natural light from
skylights and classical music played all day. The building
also contains our veterinary exam room, a grooming suite
and a dog food preparation room with storage and
a small kitchen.
There is a fully accessible shower and
bathroom suite in addition to a washer
and dryer station. We also have a cuddle room where volunteers
can come for a few hours and love on the dogs
who reside in the kennel while they themselves are watching videos
or TV, reading, knitting, or even giving
the dogs a massage while they relax.
Outside the kennel doors are fenced play-yards for the dogs while they
live in the kennel. The dogs go out in supervised
groups of four to six dogs at a time for free
play. During the summer they have a pool to splash in
and lots of toys are provided for fun times all year
round.
In addition, there is a 3,800 square foot training facility where the
Team Training sessions, Graduate Support Classes
and Puppy Classes are held. The staff is located
in a 2,500 square foot office building which was the original
farmhouse for the property.
